Semolina-Sour Cream Cake, aka "Glass Cake"

The uniqueness of this recipe lies in the fact that the main ingredients for its preparation are measured in jars or tablespoons. As much as you need. We took a half-liter jar as a base to make the pie look impressive.

Break the eggs into a deep bowl and whisk, mixing the yolk with the white.

Add a jar of kefir, a jar of semolina, and mix. Leave for 15 minutes for the semolina to swell slightly.

Then add all the remaining ingredients according to the recipe. The order does not matter. Whisk everything thoroughly until a homogeneous mass is formed. Now we have a kind of dough.

Any baking dish will do. We used a heat-resistant silicone baking mold. We greased its inner edges with butter and filled it with our dough, distributing it evenly throughout the mold.

Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake for 40-50 minutes.

Then take out our product (do not turn off the oven) and pierce it all over with a wooden skewer. This is necessary so that the milk with sugar, which we prepared in advance, is better absorbed into it. Pour the filling evenly and leave in the oven for another 3-5 minutes.

Ingredients


- 1 can of kefir or yogurt
- 1 cup semolina
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 sachet vanilla sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tsp baking soda (not full)
- 1 sachet baking powder
- 1/3 vegetable oil
- 2-3 chicken eggs
- butter for greasing the mold

For the pour-over:
- 1 can milk
- 2-3 tbsp sugar
